Vacaville PAL Crab Feed
The Vacaville Police Activities League (PAL) program will host its sixth annual Crab Feed fundraiser from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Join us for an evening of cracking crab while helping provide recreational programs and experiences for at-risk youth. The event will be held at Ulatis Community Center, and the cost is $40 per person, $30 for ages 50 and over or children 12 and under and $500 for a VIP sponsor table of 10. Your admission ticket includes all-you-can-eat crab, pasta, salad, and garlic bread as well as a no-host bar. Along with great food for a great cause, there will be chances to win some fabulous prizes through the raffle and live auction. Auction and raffle items include: an opportunity to experience the Shoot/No Shoot simulator at the Police Department; a round of golf for four at Green Valley Country Club; and an entire table at next year’s PAL Crab Feed, complete with VIP service from both the Chief of Police and the Fire Chief. Building the bond between cops and kids is a primary goal of PAL, and police involvement along with your support is critical to the success of the program. Tickets can be purchased at Ulatis Community Center or online at www.vacavillepal.com. For more information, please call 469-4004.
Great Gatsby-Themed Valentine Dance
Bring your favorite doll or guy and join us at the Great Gatsby Event hosted by the Vacaville Community Services Department. Solano County's hottest band, The Time Bandits, will provide live music at the event. Dust off your spats or wrap on your feather boa as there is going to be a prize for best-dressed couples or single. Stop by the Speakeasy Bar for a Mint Julep and appetizers to make the evening complete. The Great Gatsby Event will take place at the Three Oaks Community Center on Saturday February 13, 2010, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are $50 a couple or $25 for individuals and are available at any City community center. Only those 21 and older will be admitted to the dance.
